This procedure will cover field division of a Bambusa Tuldoides Clone X . This mother plant is 3.5 inches in diameter and 87 feet tall. A trench is dug around the diameter of the division. A Sharp Shooter shovel is used to dig around this 3 culm division. A battery operated saw is used to cut the rhizomes.

An 8 foot long by 2 inch steel pipe was used to pry up the division.
